Seminar for Spanish Teachers

Introduction

Due to the growing importance of Spanish as one of the most spoken languages in the world today, the need for Spanish teachers has significantly increased. Many Spanish teachers today are English-speakers who have studied linguistics and Spanish as a foreign language. Often, the teachers have an in-depth understanding of the language, but feel they still struggle to express themselves fluently in Spanish or they hope to maintain their level of fluidity by studying in a Spanish speaking country over the summer vacation.

With this in mind, CPI has designed a specialized workshop for teachers of Spanish as a foreign language. Seminar participants are taught various techniques created, developed, and successfully applied during our many years of experience as an institution that specializes in Spanish as a second language. CPI is an academic institution accredited by the Cervantes Institute; therefore, we can confidently ensure that our teaching methodology meets international standards and the seminar is extremely useful for those educators who find it difficult to teach certain grammatical topics with which students tend to struggle. The teachers who participate in this seminar leave prepared to step into the classroom with various instructional techniques that can easily be modified to meet the needs of any type of student.

Furthermore, the seminar being given completely in Spanish allows Spanish teachers to refine their oral and written expression. Participants have the opportunity to share with fellow colleagues doubts, triumphs, and experiences in the language classroom.
