Public Service & Public Safety Program Introduction

The ideal program for individuals working in the areas of public safety and public service who find it to necessary to know Spanish in order to perform their daily job expectations.

The migratory influx of Latin Americans to the United States has led to increased contact between professionals working in the public safety and service sectors and the Spanish-speaking population. A solid working knowledge of Spanish and familiarity with the Latin American culture has become a professional necessity for a range of fields: police officers, special investigators, officials who receive public reports and complaints, public safety officers, assistant attorneys, customs and immigration officials, narcotics officers and university students who are studying in any of these areas.

Aware of this situation, CPI has developed a specialized program designed for those working in the areas of public safety and security. The program provides participants with the linguistic tools needed to understand and resolve situations that they are likely to encounter while on duty.
